About Me

I am currently a Product Designer at The Independent Digital in the UK, where I am involved in the end-to-end product development as one of three designers. I am passionate about designing digital experiences that leave a positive impact on people, environment and society.

My background in Brand and Marketing has enabled me to better understand human behaviour, and has equipped me with the ability to produce user-centred and data driven solutions.

I am passion-driven and creative but also very methodical. This allows me to take a grounded and rational approach to solving complex problems creatively and intuitively.

Product Designer

Executed redesign of The Independent’s new app, including Breaking News, Watch, Newspaper and Premium sections of the app.

Co-established and developed The Independent’s app design system with an objective of supporting future consistency of quality and design.

Involved in the end-to-end product development as one of three product designers in a media company with a monthly reach of 80 million global consumers.

Participated in regular design reviews and QA, working collaboratively with developers to ensure design consistency ahead of release.

Leveraging user research and user testing to make informed, user-centred design decisions.

UI and Visual Design Bootcamp

Improved information architecture and surfaced a hidden feature that was in demand (Live Scores); with a hypothesis that this would increase app engagement and retention of users.

Improved onboarding by defining a more personalised experience based around sports team preferences and delivery of relatable in-feed content.

Executed redesign of app structure and navigation; enabling users to switch between different sports, competitions and dates effortlessly.

Flight Booking Experience - UX Designer

Redesigned payment experience, breaking down form into sub-steps and making it easier for users to follow. Hypothesis was that this would reduce friction and speed checkout.

Improved information architecture and simplified flight selection process. Established clear hierarchy and elements to support easier transition through the funnel for users.

Brand & Marketing Experience

Social Media Manager - Content Strategy

University of Westminster

Conducted an audit of the university's current social media and content output and identified long-term needs in line with wider company strategy.

Using a combination of user research, workshop ideation sessions and review of existing qualitative data, defined the University's social media and content strategy.

Managed budgets and developed multi-platform paid social campaigns. Executed A/B tests, audience segmentation and conducted data analysis to optimise ad performance and ROI.

Content Producer

Disney (ESPN Media)
Designed and edited content (graphics and video) for ESPN's social channels covering Premier League, European and International football competitions; our team exceeded monthly targets and hit annual growth goal within eight months.

Supported ESPN's social media news and content output in a fast-paced environment. Worked in an international team with journalists, producers and designers across different continents.

Project managed a daily schedule of content, focused on prioritisation of stories, optimising for growth and engagement across social media.
